AI logistics startup MicroFM has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Shun Feng (SF Group), the world’s fourth-largest and China’s largest integrated logistics group. Through this agreement, SF Group will leverage MicroFM’s AI-powered urban micro-fulfillment and micro-mobility technologies to optimize cross-border and last-mile logistics for domestic C-commerce companies.

SF Group is a Fortune Global 500 company, reporting $28.3 billion in revenue in 2023. The company operates over 55,000 business locations, 107 freighter aircraft, 2,600 flights, 86,000 cargo vehicles, and 2,900 warehouses worldwide. SF Group provides extensive logistics services across 202 countries and regions, solidifying its position as a global logistics leader.

Background of the MicroFM-SF Group Collaboration

MicroFM specializes in AI-driven micro-fulfillment and micro-mobility technologies. The company was co-founded through investments from AI innovation firm MAILab (www.mailab.co.kr) and real estate developer CKT (www.ckt21.com). MicroFM utilizes its win-house AI supercomputer (2 PFLOPS computing power) and advanced Vision AI technology to develop cutting-edge solutions in industries such as logistics, healthcare, and beauty. By integrating CKT’s urban fulfillment tower technology, MicroFM is emerging as a key player in reshaping global e-commerce logistics.

SF Group has recently launched a Korea-China shuttle air service to establish a cross-border logistics ecosystem in Korea as part of its “Asia No.1” strategy. Additionally, to enhance customs clearance and transshipment capabilities in Incheon, SF Group plans to collaborate with CKT Group to develop a large-scale transshipment logistics hub. As part of this initiative, SF Group will lease three Phase 1 micro-fulfillment centers currently under development by MicroFM in downtown Seoul. Furthermore, SF Group is evaluating potential investment opportunities in MicroFM.

MicroFM's logistics AI technology, recognized as one of the world's most advanced, was showcased at an invited seminar hosted by the University of Tokyo last year. Developed over three years and seven months, it has now entered the commercialization phase. Recognizing that speed is the key competitive factor in today’s e-commerce landscape, SF Group chose to partner with MicroFM based on its ability to significantly reduce logistics costs and delivery times for its customers.
