MAILab, a leading Korean AI solutions company (CEO: Dr. Phil Yang), held strategic discussions for joint medical AI development with Microsoft at Microsoft’s Tokyo headquarters on Friday, March 28 (Tokyo local time). MAILab has demonstrated unparalleled expertise in the medical AI field by leveraging its private AI supercomputer, boasting 2 petaflops of computing power, to develop AI algorithms for diagnosing congenital heart disease and breast cancer. MAILab’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Yeon Jin Jang, is an alumna of Ewha Womans University College of Medicine and holds a Ph.D. in Physiology from the University of Southern California. A Professor Emeritus of physiology at Asan Medical Center in Seoul, she has led MAILab’s medical AI development for the past five years.

Microsoft, a global leader, provides innovative solutions to healthcare institutions worldwide through its Azure cloud platform and AI-based healthcare tools.
